Ireckonu, a leading provider of middleware and customer data platform (CDP) solutions for the hospitality industry, announced a strategic evolution of its leadership structure. This step marks a new phase of the company’s international growth, with an increased focus on customer operations, engineering execution and people strategy as core enablers of scale.

As part of this transition process, the company has strengthened its executive team with three new Vice President roles:

  • Dr. Rik van Leeuwen, formerly Head of Data and Customer success, has been appointed Vice President of Customer Operations. He will assume responsibility for Customer Success, Technical Business Architecture, and Project Management.
  • Çağri Kasapoğlu, previously Head of Strategy, has been appointed Vice President of Customer Engineering. He will lead technical execution across onboarding and ongoing operations.
  • Lauranne Schellekens, previously Head of HR, will assume Vice President of Human Resources. She will be responsible for people strategy and organizational development, supporting the company as it continues to scale internationally.

Together with Hanna Schiller, Vice President of Sales, the expanded leadership team reflects Ireckonu’s commitment to customers and people at the core of its strategy. This supports the company’s growth momentum, driven by the expansion of hotel partners such as Mandarin Oriental, Montage International, Althoff Hotels, Kalahari Resorts, and Comwell, as well as the opening of a new office in Singapore last year.

Jan Jaap van Roon, Founder and CEO of Ireckonu commented on the appointments:

“Hotels today need more than point solutions, they need a connected ecosystem that brings data, operations, and guest experience together. Ireckonu’s solutions are essential infrastructure for modern hospitality brands that want to scale personalization and operational efficiency across regions and properties.

“As we enter a new phase of international growth, with an increasing hotel portfolio and expansion into new markets, strengthening our leadership structure is both a natural and necessary step. The appointment of new Vice Presidents in Customer Operations, Customer Engineering, and Human Resources strengthens key functions across the organization, enabling us to scale with greater solidity, maximize execution capabilities, and further consolidate our global expansion. This reinforcement also allows us to continue advancing our mission of helping clients turn complex data environments into real, operational outcomes in their day-to-day business.”

With an international presence across EMEA, APAC, and the US, Ireckonu continues to build a strong foundation to support global hotel brands. This evolution in leadership reinforces its focus on developing advanced technology for the hospitality sector, driven by its mission to unify data, eliminate duplication, and turn fragmented systems into personalized guest experiences that drive loyalty at scale.

Ireckonu will participate in HITEC 2026 from June 15–18 with a dedicated booth (#2330), where the company will showcase its clean data solutions for hoteliers alongside some of its newly appointed Vice Presidents.

In addition, Rick van Leeuwen will deliver a presentation on Tuesday, June 16 at 4:15 PM titled “Your Data is the Product: Why Hotels That Don’t Own Their Guest Data Will Lose to Those That Do.” The session will explore the value of connected guest data and the cost for hotels that fail to leverage it effectively.
