Keith Child Joins CyberTek as Hiring Our Heroes Fellow
CyberTek MSSP announced that Keith Child has joined the company as a Hiring Our Heroes (HOH) Fellow. During the fellowship, he will be serving as a Junior Sys Admin and working in support of the help desk.
The U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation Hiring Our Heroes (HOH) connects the military community—service members, military spouses, and veterans—with American businesses to create economic opportunity and a strong and diversified workforce. The Corporate Fellowship Program provides transitioning service members with professional training and hands-on experience in the civilian workforce (within their last 180 days of service). The professional development offered through the program prepares candidates for a smooth transition into meaningful civilian careers. Participating corporations benefit by gaining access to the best and brightest transitioning service members while developing a more comprehensive understanding of the veteran job market.
Over a twelve-week internship, Child will work directly with CyberTek staff, gaining hands-on experience in the IT and hospitality industry to prepare for his transition from the military to the civilian labor force.
Child’s primary responsibilities will be to provide a full range of network, server, and workstation support for a diverse client base and to troubleshoot client issues both remotely and onsite, providing superior IT customer service. He has six years of prior experience in the IT industry, holds a Google IT Support Professional certificate, and resides in Tulsa, OK. He is currently an active-duty member of the U.S. Navy.
